Her form of spoken poetry is a milder, more family approved version of 'slam poetry' which I saw live performances of in recent years. They can be quite intense but this shows that the Toastmasters style of speaking is NOT the only form of speaking out there which can move an audience.
Exactly my thoughts Clint. When I watched her for the first time I thoughts wow, what a great speaker, and from a completely different background than that from Toastmasters like us. It was really an eye opener for me.
